Located in the old town of the village, La Mourra 5* blends seamlessly with the stone and slate authentic chalets that give Val d’Isère its timeless charm.
Meticulously envisioned and brought to life by Béatrice and Pierre Cerboneschi, La Mourra is made of a 5* Hotel with 7 exclusive Suites, a Spa Susanne Kaufmann, a Japanese-fusion restaurant, a lounge bar, and 5 private luxury chalets — cleverly adjoined to each other to form a secluded mountain hamlet.
La Mourra? A name whispered through time, its roots traced back to Petronius’s Satyricon. In the heart of Savoie, villagers once played this game to pass the coldest of winters — using only their hands and the rhythm of numbers: “eun, do, trë, càtro, tchisse, chui, sat, ouètte, nou, dji,” they yelled in Franco-Provençal, wagering on the sum of hidden fingers.
Here, La Mourra 5* is above all a place of stillness — where time slows and serenity takes hold. You will be gently carried by the soft, refined décor of the Suites and the distinctive soul of each chalet, each space whispering its own story.
Today, April 26th, La Mourra officially brings the 2025–2026 winter season to a close with the closing of its chalets, following the hotel and restaurant two weeks ago.
Since December 11th, our Home has come alive through your stays, filled with moments of well-being, culinary experiences, and unforgettable days in Val d’Isère. This season comes to an end with gratitude, shaped by the loyalty of our guests and the dedication of our teams.
Over the past two weeks, our chalets have extended the experience in a more intimate atmosphere, offering a privileged retreat right up to today’s closing day.
La Mourra 5* now enters its spring break before preparing to welcome you again for a very special upcoming winter season: it will mark La Mourra’s 10th anniversary, a symbolic milestone we are truly looking forward to celebrating with you.
We sincerely thank you for your trust and look forward to welcoming you again very soon.
See you soon at La Mourra 5*.

The winter season continues in Val d’Isère, yet the final weeks of this alpine interlude are already beginning to appear — a moment we always wish could last a little longer.
At La Mourra 5*, our hotel Suites will remain open until April 12th, offering a few more privileged weeks to enjoy the mountains, ski under generous sunshine, and return to the warm comfort of our Home after a day in the fresh alpine air.
To extend the alpine experience even further, our private chalets will remain open until April 26th, allowing guests to continue enjoying the mountains in a more intimate and private setting.
The final weeks of the season always carry a special charm: longer days, softer light, beautiful snow still lingering at altitude, and that precious feeling of making the very most of every moment in the mountains.

When winter settles over the mountains, something special happens. Life slows down, senses awaken, and time seems to stretch — making room for what truly matters: being together.
In Val d’Isère, winter holidays are a cherished ritual. The village comes alive with joyful reunions, children’s laughter echoing across snow-covered paths, and that familiar warmth of returning to a place where memories are made year after year. Days begin with excitement and end with tired smiles, rosy cheeks and stories shared long into the evening.
Here, the mountains become a playground for all generations. First ski turns, shared adventures on the slopes, long lunches bathed in winter light… and later, the simple happiness of gathering again — around a hot chocolate, a crackling fire or a quiet moment of relaxation. These are the moments that stay with us, long after the snow has melted.
At La Mourra 5*, families find more than a hotel — they discover a home in the heart of winter. A welcoming refuge where comfort embraces you, where children feel free and safe, and where parents can truly let go. Every space invites togetherness, every detail is designed to create warmth, serenity and that rare feeling of being exactly where you belong.
Winter holidays are made of shared emotions, laughter and precious time spent side by side. The mountains are calling — and at La Mourra 5*, we are ready to welcome you home.

More than ever, The mountains are calling: winter holidays start today!
Overnight, as the snow returned, Val d’Isère was transformed once more into an enchanted alpine dream. Rooftops lie beneath a soft white veil, gentle lights glow in the twilight, and a delicate, intoxicating scent lingers in the air — like a fleeting echo of childhood wonder.
This morning, laughter filled the village as children improvised a spontaneous snowball fight in the school courtyard. A simple yet exquisite scene that invites us to pause, breathe deeply, and reconnect with that rare sense of serenity — the very essence of what makes a mountain escape so unforgettable.
We are delighted to share these precious moments with you. There is no more beautiful way to begin the year.
